Daniel Gaynor , M.A., L.M.H.C., attended Goddard College in the mid 1970's where he studied creative writing, literature, psychology and social ecology. He was active at that time in the ant-nuclear movement; experimenting with direct political action, alternative lifestyles and musical and artistic expression as a street performer.
In 1985 Daniel recieved his B.A. degree in psychology from the University of Massachusetts at Boston; in 1989 his Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Lesley Collge. He also complete a one year post-graduate program at The Institute for Existential Psychoanalytic Therapy in Newton Massachusetts. He is licensed in Massachusetts as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
Daniel has thirty five years of postgraduate clinical experience as a psychotherapist. His experience includes working with individuals, groups and families in mental retardation/developmental disabilities, mental health and addiction treatment. He has worked in out-patient, out-reach and residential settings with children, adolescents and adults.
Daniel's interpersonal style foster's deepened empathic understanding and increased self expression and is informed by humanistic, holistic and self psychological models. His specialty is in the area of adults from multi-problem family environments.
